5/11-12    Quake today hit everyone’s heart significantly. Two of our trucks and relief workers delivering aid supplies are safe and back home; landslides kept them from reaching destination. Once roads open up again, they will be back on track. For now, living outside in tents or under tarps has incredible value.

5/10        4 TONS of metal sheeting delivered for 700 shelters; village roofing and re-construction work starts today!

5/5-9       We received a request from Rotary International to visit a site near Thankot and see to the well-being of a group a children living under  a tarp.  Delivered 10 bags of rice, oil, dal, and helped coordinate funds for the completion of their orphanage.  Windows are missing and toilets are unfinished.  The monsoon rains start in a few weeks and we’d like to see this group sitting dry by that time.

  • Rice drop. First to arrive in this area. Highway gangs still on the Kodari. If you say you are with an NGO, they steal your rice.  We tell them the names of the village recipients and that this is a private shipment and they let us pass.  Our truck 3, however is still on the road stuck in Dhalgiri due to Tamang gangs near Kavre.  Truck 2 trip photos are shown.  This was a direct-distribute.
